Heights
We know how important it is for seniors to maintain their independence as they make the move from a life-long home. When the everyday responsibilities or loneliness have become too much, the apartments at The Heights offer the privacy and comfort of home with the peace of mind that comes from knowing assistance is readily available if needed.
Apartment Features
We have thoughtfully and tastefully designed all the apartments to give each one a unique look and feel. Colors, fabrics and appliances have been carefully selected to reflect the comfort and warmth of home. Bright living areas and cozy design make each apartment a comfortable, pleasant place to live.
We want these apartments to be more than just a place to live - we want them to become each person’s new home. For that reason, tenants bring their own furnishings and decorative items that will personalize their living areas by adding their own special touch.
Safety
As with all of our programs, the safety of our tenants is of utmost importance to us. To provide added peace of mind for both tenants and families, an emergency call system is located in the bedrooms of all apartments. Pendants can also be provided when needed. These pendants will alert staff to emergency situations if the individual is not within reach of the wall mounted call system.
Meals
Dinner and supper, if desired, can be enjoyed in the lovely dining room on the first floor of The Heights. Meals are served family style to maintain the warmth and intimacy of home. We serve the largest meal of the day at noon.
Laundry Rooms
Spacious laundry rooms are available on each floor for the convenience of the residents. Each laundry room is equipped with modern washers and dryers. In the interest of comfort, lounge areas are located on the second floor so tenants may rest or visit while waiting for their laundry to finish.
Utilities
Utilities (other than telephone service) and refuse service, as well as lawn, sidewalk and parking lot maintenance are included in the monthly rent. Additional services such as housekeeping, meals and barber/beauty appointments are available for an additional fee.
Transitions
Our goal at The Heights is to provide living quarters that are comfortable, private and safe. We are dedicated to helping seniors maintain their highest level of independence for as long as possible. Should a person begin to need more assistance than is available at The Heights, we will work with the individual and family to make a smooth transition to one of the other living settings within the Hillside Country Living campus.
